To celebrate the success of the food scrap recycling program, Waste Free Greenwich invites residents to pick up free nutrient-rich compost. Created by New Milford Farms from the scraps collected the past year at Holly Hill, this local compost will enrich your garden beds.

  • Limit of 5 gallons per household while supplies last.

  • Bring your own container to carry the compost home.

  • Shovels will be provided.

  • Enter at the gravel driveway entrance to Culinary Wellness Garden located just north of Nathaniel Witherell (70 Parsonage Road). Please drive around the circle; do not park in lot.

  • Starter kits and BPI-certified compostable bags will offered for sale. There will be no sales at Sam Bridge Farmers' Market this Saturday, but we'll be back next week.

  • Questions? Contact wastefreegreenwich@gmail.com

Thank you to Greenwich Community Gardens for their partnership for this event and to the Greenwich community for making the program a success.
