To date residents have diverted over 120 tons, or 246,000 pounds of organic material from the waste stream to compost through the voluntary municipal food scrap recycling program!
As a thank you for your participation and support, Waste Free Greenwich invites residents for our 3rd Annual Compost Giveback Day to pick up nutrient-rich compost created through the food scrap recycling program!

The gravel driveway entrance to the Greenwich Community Garden’s Culinary Wellness Garden is located just north of The Nathaniel Witherell. Drive around the circle, or park in the lot and walk to the pile. Our volunteers will be directing traffic, but please be careful and patient!
