ART SUPPLIES
Markers: Contact Greenwich public and independent schools for participation in the Crayola ColorCycle program. All brands of used plastic markers, including highlighters and dry erase, are accepted. Schools pack and mail collected markers to Crayola for free.
BOOKS
Greenwich Book Swap: The Town of Greenwich has a Book Swap at the Holly Hill Recycling center for use by Greenwich residents that is open Friday and Saturday mornings from 8am - 12pm. Greenwich residents are welcome to bring as many books as they want and can take 10 books a day. The 3,000 books in the shed are organized like a library into categories such as best selling authors, non-fiction, romance, mystery, classics and children's books. There are usually 100 - 200 oversized coffee table books and cookbooks in the outside bins. CDs, DVDs, and LPs are also available. http://www.books4everyone.org/greenwich-book-swap-1
Friends of Byram Shubert Library Book Sale: One of the best and biggest biannual book sales in Greenwich. Choose from over 30 categories of quality fiction and nonfiction books. More than 40,000 books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and more to choose from. All proceeds go to support programming at the Byram Shubert Library. Mothers for Others: Second Congregational Church, room 12, 139 East Putnam. Acceptable gently used items include baby swings, strollers, high chairs, bouncy seats & pack-n-plays, as well as books and toys. No car seats, baby baths, toilet seats, cribs or mattresses.
